It was a Cold War conflict that lasted two decades. The Vietnam War left millions dead and ultimately ended with the failure of the American-led offensive to crush the Communists.
But beyond the horror of the war itself are the stories of the ordinary people caught up in it.
Four decades on, Drought and Rain is a haunting dance study performed by a group of Vietnamese women villagers who sang to console wounded soldiers on the front line of the conflict.
